You’re wasting valuable time.
Throwing hours away instead of having great success.
When you attempt to eliminate your inner-voice it can be hard, but you’re making it even harder for yourself and you don’t know it.
There’s a way to make it easier. You’ve got to stop giving a s**t.
Expectation is killing you
I’m going to tell you what the inner-voice is and what it feels like when it’s gone, but you need to read this first.
You already know you need to kill the inner-voice when you meditate and that:
- Your mind will be completely empty
- Strange sensations will start occurring
It’s these 2 expectations that are holding you back. The aim is to think of nothing, but you’ll be:
- Thinking about whether or not your mind is empty
- Thinking about whether or not you’re feeling any strange sensations
By questioning what’s happening, thoughts will pop into your head. It’s a completely subconscious reaction and you can’t even help yourself.
Expectation is stopping you from getting into a deep trance. Expectation is forcing thoughts into your head.
You need to kill expectation
Instead of expectation killing your trance work, it’s time to reverse the situation and kill expectation.
- Don’t care about whether or not your mind is clear
- Don’t care about experiencing any strange sensations
The only thing you need to care about is focusing your awareness onto either:
- The air coming in/out of your nostrils
- The air coming in/out of your mouth
- Your stomach rising and falling
Just choose one of these and focus your awareness onto it. Nothing else matters. If you need a more in-depth explanation about how to do it then read this.
Don’t care about anything else. Other things will happen, but don’t care. Don’t expect anything to happen.
This is probably long winded and I’ve mentioned not caring about a million times, but I want to make sure I get the message across.
The new rules of trance
From now on your aim isn’t to feel anything, or even to go into a deep trance.
The only thing you should care about from now on is focusing your awareness onto one of the following places:
- Your nostrils
- Your breath
- Your stomach
You already know the drill. You need to watch or feel. Don’t think.
Whenever a thought pops into your head you just let it pass and shift your awareness back onto your chosen area.
When you do feel things happening you should ignore them. Just ignore them until you’ve experienced them in at least 10 trance sessions, then you can start to investigate them and experiment.
How to eliminate time
If you rush it you’ll end up wasting more time. Trance work and lucid dreaming shouldn’t be rushed. The trick is to slowly build up the foundational skills and you’ll have them forever.
Another thing you might think about is time. So we need to kick time out of the equation. From now on you should expect to do trance work for 1 hour per day/night.
You’re not actually going to hit the one hour mark, but the idea is to stop somewhere in between 1 minute and 1 hour. This means there’s no expectation about how long you have left. If you start your trance work and start thinking about when the hour will end, there’s something wrong.
So to cut time out of the equation you will:
- Meditate between 1 minute and 1 hour per day/night
You get to stop at any time in the hour, whenever you feel like it. Until then you should only focus your awareness on your chosen area.
I wasted tons of hours
When I started meditating I would think about what was happening every single second. I would question every single sensation I had. I couldn’t even help myself and it was because I had expectations.
Looking back I know the only way to succeed quickly is to kill expectation. When I meditate these days I don’t care about anything except my awareness. Because I’ve been into deep trances I know when I can stop watching/feeling my nostrils. I know when I’m ready for the next step, but until then I don’t care.
You can do what I did and learn the hard way, or you can stop caring and focus only on your awareness.
I have a strange feeling you’ll love this technique as much as I do, and it will take a huge weight off your shoulders.
You don’t have anything to aim for anymore, so you have no reason to fear failure or be scared you’re not doing it the right way.
Please let me know in the comments below if I explained this well enough, because it’s so important.
